This FREE Black Swan Wednesday offering comes from one of this summer’s hottest releases, Adham Shaikh’s Basswalla. When Maximum Ink describes it as “Traditional Indian rhythms and beats spiced up with bass heavy electronica creating sensational palettes of saucy dance delectables to sample and savor,” we’re not sure what more needs to be said.
In fact, we’ll let “Still Shakin” take it from here. High energy, percussion-fueled danceableism (new word!) for an end of summer party that we hope never ends (at least not for another couple of months).
We hope you enjoy this free song. As always, thanks for listening, and if you like it please share it.
Djembe and Conga: Melissa M3 :: Flute: Catherine Potter
Vocals: Erica Dee :: Dholak: Shankar :: Tabla Programming: Adham Previously unreleased
I took only the djembe and conga parts from the original “Shake It” (off Fusion) and added full, driving Indian percussion, propelling it deep into the territory of the Basswalla.
